Amarnath Foundation works to preserve affordable rental housing in east-central Indiana. We are forming two small volunteer teams to find suitable funding opportunities and help people learn about this work. We are also seeking interest from an experienced adult digital-skills lead for a proposed pilot in Santa Clara County.

There is no personal gift or fundraising quota. The Foundation reviews introductions and handles donor conversations and any donations.

Volunteer Adult Digital-Skills Lead - Proposed Santa Clara County Pilot
We are actively recruiting an experienced volunteer to help plan and, if conditions are met, lead a proposed in-person digital-skills pilot for adults in Santa Clara County. This unpaid charitable volunteer role is separate from the remote roles above. Current responsibilities focus on prelaunch planning.
The plan is four 60-minute sessions for 8 to 12 adults, plus setup, preparation, helper training and a debrief. Dates and total hours would be agreed later. Sessions would run in person only if a suitable host, resources and safeguards are secured; some planning may happen remotely. The lead, backup, host, insurance, budget, equipment and screening are not yet confirmed. The program is not open to participants.
During prelaunch planning, the lead would:
Review our existing draft four-session curriculum
After required screening, take part in a supervised teaching demonstration with fictional data using our existing practicum, once a qualified assessor and consent and assessment-record controls are in place
Help define accessible delivery and readiness needs for the pilot
Only after accountable supervision, a host, insurance, budget and resources, screening, consent and privacy, and safeguarding are confirmed would the lead:
Guide browser basics, finding official sources, spotting scams and practice forms, using fictional data only
Train and supervise helpers to give safe, respectful support
Coordinate accessibility needs and de-identified attendance and task scores through an approved process
The role does not involve real accounts or passwords, benefits applications, or legal, financial or medical advice. No real participant records would be kept at this stage.
You should be 18 or older, with verifiable experience teaching adults or helping people use technology. We are looking for patient, plain-language teaching, the ability to supervise helpers, respect for accessibility and cultural needs, and care for privacy. Bilingual skills are welcome. No degree is required unless a host requires one.

Later steps would include review of relevant experience, consent-based references and any screening the host requires, and the supervised demonstration described above.
